What we do not collect

• There are no user accounts, so we hold no names, emails or passwords from visitors.
• The levels, goals and methods you enter into a calculator are processed in your browser and are never sent to us or stored.
• We do not sell personal information.

What we do collect

Analytics

We use two analytics services to count page views and understand which calculators get used.

Fathom Analytics does not use cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not collect personal data. The statistics it gives us are aggregated and cannot be traced back to an individual.

Google Analytics, a Google service, sets cookies in your browser so it can tell visits apart and recognise a returning visitor. It collects information such as the pages you view, how you reached the site, your approximate location, and your browser and device type. We see this information in aggregated reports, and Google processes it under the Google Privacy Policy. You can stop Google Analytics from recording your visits with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser.

Hiscores lookups

If you enter a display name to load your levels, that name is sent to our server, which requests the levels from the official Old School RuneScape hiscores and returns them to you. We cache the hiscores response briefly to avoid repeated requests to Jagex. We do not link the name to you, and we do not keep a record of who looked up what.

Server and security logs

Our hosting provider and Cloudflare, which sits in front of the site, keep standard technical logs including IP addresses, for security, abuse prevention and reliability. We use an IP address only to rate-limit the hiscores lookup so it cannot be abused.

Advertising

OSRSPlan does not currently display advertising. If we introduce it, this page will be updated before it goes live to name the advertising partner and explain what they collect and how to opt out.

Cookies and local storage

Google Analytics sets the cookies described above. Cloudflare sets a short-lived security cookie that helps it tell visitors apart from automated traffic. OSRSPlan sets no other cookies.

Some pages may remember a preference (such as your last-used settings) in your browser's local storage. That data stays on your device, is not sent to us, and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

Your rights

We do not hold accounts, names or contact details for visitors. Google Analytics links the data it collects to a random identifier stored in a cookie on your device, and we have no way to connect that identifier to your name, so we usually cannot find records about a particular person. If you believe we hold data about you, email [email protected] and we will respond. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, the CCPA or similar laws, including the right to access, correct or delete personal data and to complain to a supervisory authority.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be called out on this page.
