OSRS Runecraft Calculator

More runes an essence does not mean more experience. Experience is paid per essence, so an air rune is 5 whether you get one rune or ten. One action here is one essence; each method says how many runes it makes at higher levels, which changes what you earn and not how fast you level. Combination runes assume a binding necklace. Without one, half of them fail and give nothing back. Essence is bought at the instant-buy price and runes sell at the instant-sell price, less the 2% Grand Exchange tax; dark essence is not traded, so those rows show no cost. The methods under Other methods pay by points or by a mixture of runes, so they plan time only. The ZMI calculator plans the Ourania Altar with your own pouches, trip time and essence. Method data checked against the OSRS Wiki on 18 September 2026. Prices are live.
