The game never shows your points. A figure with a ~ comes from estimated points: every boss at full hitpoints for the raid level, team and path, nobody dying, the Wardens taken down twice in phase two. A death costs a fifth of your points, so a rough raid lands lower. Type your own points if you track them. Loot is priced at what it sells for right now, after the 2% tax. A purple replaces the common loot for the player who gets it, and a raid's worth counts that. Figures checked against the OSRS Wiki on 20 September 2026.
How the purple chance works
The party earns reward points for damage, puzzle rooms and being the best in a room. At the end the game makes one roll for the whole party: 1% for every 10,500 points, less 20 points for each raid level. Above raid level 310 each level counts for a third, and above 430 for a sixth, so level 400 is 1% for every 3,700 points. The chance never goes above 55%. If the roll lands, one player gets the purple, drawn in proportion to points, so in a team your chance is the party's chance times your share.
Below raid level 150 only the fang and the lightbearer drop freely. Anything else passes a second roll of 1 in 50, and the same goes for the fang and the lightbearer below level 50. That is why entry mode is no way to hunt a shadow.
Which unique you get
Up to raid level 300 the fang and the lightbearer are 70 in 240 each, the ward 30, each Masori piece 20 and the shadow 10, which is 1 in 24. From 300 to 500 the fang and the lightbearer fall, so the same purple is likelier to be a shadow: 1 in 16.5 at level 500. The table gives each as 1 purple in so many, with one column for the three Masori pieces, which always share a chance.
| Level | Fang | Lightbearer | Ward | Masori | Shadow |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| To 300 | 3.43 | 3.43 | 8 | 12 | 24 |
| 350 | 3.67 | 3.67 | 7.33 | 11 | 22 |
| 400 | 4.75 | 3.8 | 6.33 | 9.5 | 19 |
| 450 | 4.5 | 4.5 | 6 | 9 | 18 |
| 500 | 5.5 | 4.71 | 5.5 | 8.25 | 16.5 |
What the common loot is
A player without the purple gets three rolls, each one of 27 items with the same chance. How much of an item you get is your points over a number fixed for that item, so more points is more loot. Under raid level 150 it is cut by a quarter. From level 300 it is 15% more, and 1% more for every five levels after that.
ToA questions
Does a bigger team lower my chance? The party earns more points, but not in step with its size, and you hold a smaller share of them. The side by side table shows your own chance at every raid level for the team you picked.
Do deaths matter? A death takes a fifth of that player's points, 1,000 at least, and the purple chance falls with them.
How unlucky is a dry streak somewhere else? The dry calculator has every other boss and drop table.
